This I find a delicious drink with warm weather. With adding ice cubes it becomes an iced coffee. The banana makes the drink sweet. If I come up with a local alternative I will let you know.
With an app to get things that will get thrown away otherwise I got 17 packages of soy milk, of organic soy beans from Italy, free from added sugar. I’m going to work with that so you have a chance to see some recipes with the soy milk. For this smoothie you can also use oat milk.
You find this smoothie under spring and summer because I like this one in the warmer months. Bananas are imported throughout the whole year: they are not growing yet on a larger scale closer, so the seasonal grouping is not based on that.
For this recipe you need to do something the night before.
Extra supplies needed: a blender
For 2 persons:
– 250ml soy milk
– 250ml water
– 1 frozen banana
– 3 teaspoons (for this recipe caffeine-free in my case) instant coffee. I find instant coffee easy in this recipe but you can cool off your coffee as well.
– optional: ice cubes
Put the banana in the freezer the night before without the peel. You can cut it into pieces beforehand. With a good blender a whole frozen banana works as well.
Put all ingredients in the blender and mix to a nice cold drink. You can add some ice cubes to the glass.
